A Gift of Hope, Transformational Gift Will Help Accelerate Blood Cancer Research

Jim and Leslie Belardi have made a transformative gift to City of Hope, a leading research and treatment center for cancer and other life threatening diseases. This gift comes 14 years after Jim received a life-saving bone marrow transplant for leukemia at City of Hope. 
Blood cancers account for nearly 10% of new cancer cases each year in the United States, yet they are often the most difficult to treat.  The gift, representing the largest single contribution to City of Hope for blood cancer research, will support City of Hope鈥檚 Hematologic Malignancies Research Institute (HMRI). The gift is targeted at accelerating the development and approval of promising new therapies for some of the most difficult to treat blood cancers.

Servite High School 鈥� Jim Belardi, CEO of 黑料吃瓜网 Holding joined a longtime friend and mutual Hall of Fame teammate, to lead a $1 million challenge pledge to raise funds for a state-of-the-art Aquatics Center. The $5.3 million project was built on the campus of Jim鈥檚 former high school, Servite High School in Anaheim, CA.

Servite High School Aquatic Center Dedication - Servite High School held a dedication ceremony on August 24, 2016 to celebrate the grand opening of the new Fr. Kevin Fitzpatrick Aquatic Center. The year-long, $5.7 million project has reached completion. Jim Belardi was asked to speak as alumni, parents, and current and former aquatics athletes and their families gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
